The FCRT is an Independent Specialist Provider, which includes the provision of a residential Further Education Through Horsemastership Course, for young adults with learning difficulties/disabilities. Teaching is horse based and learning is through the transfer of skills throughout the day and evening.

VACANCIES:

 

CHARTERED PHYSIOTHERAPIST 

The FCRT has a vacancy for a Chartered Physiotherapist with 2 years’ post graduate experience.

 This is a part-time vacancy working alongside a colleague (Physiotherapist/Hippotherapist) to assess, plan and implement a range of therapeutic interventions for our students, using the horse as the therapeutic medium. The hours required are 4 hours over 2 days, a total of 8 per week, over 40 weeks per annum (term time only). 

Salary c £5252.45 gross per annum

 We particularly invite applications from candidates who have equine knowledge and experience and with a real interest and enthusiasm to become a qualified ‘Hippotherapist’.

 Independent Living Skills Facilitator (permanent, part-time)

 

Candidates must have equine experience, have experience of working with young adults who have LDD and enjoy working as part of a team. The hours of work will cover residential evening and overnight duties to support and provide continuity for our horse-motivated young people who have LDD. Candidates need to be willing to help these young people to develop their independent living skills and encourage constructive ways to spend leisure time. H&SC qualifications or interest in training towards them would be an advantage.

 

 Salary: £21,500 based on 25 hours plus 3.5 (sleeping) overnight duties per week (to include alternate Saturday evening/overnight) over 52 weeks per annum.


  Holiday entitlement: 6 weeks pro rata per annum
