Occupational Therapist

The Fortune Centre of Riding Therapy is a Residential Specialist College for students whose educational needs cannot be met in their own sector colleges teaching life and social skills to young people with special needs, using a horse-based extended curriculum.

Your role will be to assess, plan and implement a range of therapeutic interventions, using the horse as the therapeutic medium. You will need to be flexible and enthusiastic in your approach and be prepared to work 40 hours per week over a variety of shifts including evenings & weekends. 

 Salary dependent on experience.

We particularly invite applications from candidates who have equine knowledge and experience. In exchange we offer excellent support, supervision and training opportunities and the prospect of working within a dynamic staff team.

WEEKLY RIDING THERAPY

If you are aged 12 and under, live in the area and are looking for help through weekly riding therapy sessions please contact our physiotherapist, Mrs Denise Thompson on 01425 618717 or write to her at FCRT, Avon Tyrrell, Bransgore, CHRISTCHURCH, Dorset  BH23 8EE

LOCAL VOLUNTEERS are always needed to help with weekly Riding Therapy sessions. Some experience with ponies is essential and experience with children with special needs is an added advantage.
