Independent Living Skills Facilitator

Vacancies for experienced care staff to work residential evening and overnight duties.

 Duties

17:30 to 22:00, overnight (sleeping) followed by 07:00 to 08:30

 Shift patterns

7 days on 7 days off Monday to Sunday :      Handover 1.5 hours 16:00 to 17:30 on a Monday

 These hours will be worked as part of a shift system over the week to ensure continuity of care for our beneficiaries. Overnight duties are generally sleeping, but the purpose is to be ‘on call’ for emergencies and to deal with personal needs as required. 

The successful candidate will have a background in Health and Social Care and ideally possess industry relevant qualifications. Experience with young adults who have learning difficulties and disabilities is essential, and experience with horses would be a distinct advantage.   

Salary - £12,011.57 gross pa based on 21 weeks p/a (during term time) 

You would be required to work daytime hours by agreement during the first week of the autumn term and the last week of the summer term for staff training & development.

Yard Lead (Temporary:12 month contract)

To ensure continuity of care for a small group of horses and provide a teaching and learning base for students with learning difficulties and disabilities

Essental Qualifications BHS PTT.

A1 Assessor in horsecare and teaching experience desirable.

Hours of work: 40 Hours pw worked over 5 days will include 1 evening duty

Salary range: £8-£8.50ph based on 52 weeks p/a, dependant on relevant qualifications and experience

We are a residential specialist college where life skills are taught to 16 – 25 year olds with learning difficulties/disabilities using a horse-based extended curriculum.
