TEDDY, a bay cob standing 15.2
was born in 1997. He offers a great challenge to his riders. He can be strong and wilful but
quickly responds to a student who uses their knowledge and body control.
This means that riding him is something to aim for. Once a student is
balanced and in control they are ready for him. Because of his own
determination he is most helpful to students who need to be encouraged
towards greater assertiveness in order to reach their goals.
CHINA is a black cob. He is 15 h.h. and was foaled in 1987.As the picture shows he is a great favourite for vaulting and lovely to handle. He always has a listening ear for those in trouble and gets on well with other horses too. There is nothing he enjoys more than a good ride out on the forest. In this situation he can be a little more lively reminding students that horses like people can react differently when circumstances change.
COLONEL as a 15 hand twelve year old coloured cob . Although patient in the stable he can be quite stubborn to ride. Once students have listened well to instructions and practised giving him the right signals however, he can be forward going and cooperative. He is a real master at the art of clarifying for his riders the importance of saying what you really mean to others if you expect to get the right response! He is at present undergoing training for vaulting and proving an apt pupil. DANDY is a star who one student recently described as 'a hairy sweetie-pie'! He is a black 14.2 Fell pony who was born in 1988. Cantering across the forest his beautiful mane blows in the wind and his tail streams out behind him. He lives at Wootton Hall Farm as a great deal of his work consists of providing Riding Therapy to young children from local special schools. This also gives those students looking after him the chance to help the children and glean valuable work experience in this way. Back |
