Hippobuggies Ltd The clean, green buggy. Designed to lighten your everyday chores. Hippobuggies ‘One Day Event’ 2nd October 2010 2 – 5pm When the weather was at its worst last winter and our students, staff and volunteers were struggling with heavy wheelbarrows we were given a ‘Hippobuggy’ to help us with our daily chores around the yard. The ‘Hippobuggy’ proved to be invaluable and made light work of mucking out and carrying hay to the fields. This gave us an idea for a fun day at the FCRT – putting Hippobuggies through their paces - a ‘One Day Event’ consisting of 4 teams and instead of our trusty horses we will be using the ‘Hippobuggies’. There will be Dressage, Cross Country and Showjumping phases. We are looking for local competitors from businesses such as equestrian, press and emergency services. Each team will consist of two students from the FCRT and two representatives from each category. The competitons will be based around the Equestrian ‘One Day Event’ with both ‘Hippobuggies’ and team members competing for the ‘Hippobuggies Cup’. We will be looking for each team to either make a small donation or raise sponsorship and the team raising the most will be awarded a Cup to be challenged in future. The event will take place at the FCRT’s Avon Tyrrell site from 2 – 5pm. We will have various side shows and stalls including a cake stall, Hippobuggy & FCRT combined stall and a raffle. Whilst our aim is to raise funds for the FCRT, we hope to make it an exciting and fun day.
